Ambulance charge on tax bill

HORTONVILLE – The Village of Hortonville has requested Outagamie County add a charge to their residents’ property tax bills for a third -party ambulance services. Based on the County Corporation Counsel’s review of the applicable law, there is no authority for the County to add this charge to residents’ property tax bills. The Department of Revenue has also provided an opinion that Outagamie County cannot include this charge as it is not a legal charge that can be added to the property tax bills.
