AMHERST- Port Edwards led going into halftime by a score of 23-20. The Amherst Falcons outscored their opponent 33-21 to get the home victory.
Amherst’s Parker Soulsby led all scorers with 22 points, and teammate Colton Vander Laan contributed 10 points. Taylan McCormick led the game with 11 rebounds to add to five points for the Falcons.
Berlin 59,
Waupaca 50
WAUPACA- The Waupaca Comets fell in their home opener against Berlin 59-50 as they kept the score close going into halftime down 27-26.
The second half was all Berlin as they pulled away, outscoring the Comets 32-24 in the later period.
Comets Austin Adamczak led all scorers with 16 points.

Amherst 53,
Rosholt 26
AMHERST- The Falcons won their second game in back-to-back days at home as they trounced Rosholt by a score of 53-26.
Colton Vander Laan scored 14 points, and Sully Perkins contributed 12 for Amherst, respectively.
SPASH 72,
Kimberly 63
STEVENS POINT- SPASH Panthers tested their mettle at home against a formidable Kimberly Papermakers squad. Overtime was needed to determine the winner. Eventually, the Panthers outscored Kimberly 13-4 in the extra minutes to win 72-63
Panthers Grant Chandonais was the games leading scorer with 20 points.

Postponed
SHIOCTON- The Clintonville Truckers against the Shiocton Chiefs will be postponed to a later date. The reason? Due to a broken backboard courtesy of Clintonville’s 2023-2024 All-North Eastern Conference guard Sam Wegener, who showed his amazing athletic ability by going above the rim on a fast break dunk to shatter the glass on the backboard.
Iola-Scandinavia 49,
Almond-Bancroft 33
ALMOND- The Thunderbirds overpowered Almond-Bancroft on the road early in the first half 32-12.
Alex Robbins led the Thunderbirds in scoring with 17 points.
Wausau East 69,
New London 51
WAUSAU- A close 35-30 deficit gave the Bulldogs hope they could take the lead later in the game. The second half proved that they could not keep up with Wausau East. New London was outscored 34-20 in the half.
Joseph Daly scored 23 points in the contest.
Pacelli 79,
Weyauwega-Fremont 53
STEVENS POINT-Pacelli jumped on the Warhawks early and did not let up throughout the game. Warhawks were outscored 32-21 in the first half and 47-32 in the second half.

AMHERST- The Falcons got their third home win in four days to start the season 3-0. Amherst was led in scoring by Parker Soulsby.

WEYAUWEGA- Winneconne delivered another blowout loss for the Warhawks on Thursday.
Seymour 81,
Clintonville 55
SEYMOUR- Sam Wegener scored a team-high 23 points for the Truckers in a 26-point road loss to Seymour.
SPASH 75,
Chippewa Falls 52
CHIPPEWA FALLS- The Stevens Point Panthers get another win this time in blowout fashion as they made quick work of Chippewa Falls. Baraka Makalin scored 15 points and dished out five assists.
Friday, Dec. 6
Shiocton 72,
Weyauwega-Fremont 59
WEYAUWEGA- The Warhawks lost their third consecutive game. Ethan Koplien scored a team-high 17 points for the Warhawks.
Hortonville 56,
Appleton North 5
APPLETON- The Polar Bears pulled off a win to go to 3-0 on the season and get their first conference win. Hortonville had four players score in double figures.
Bonduel 89,
Iola-Scandinavia 61
BONDUEL- The Thunderbirds could not keep up on the road in Bonduel. They allowed 40-plus points in each half. Alex Robbins led the Thunderbirds with 18 points.
Saturday, Dec. 7
SPASH 47,
Waunakee 45
STEVENS POINT- The Panthers escaped with a home victory over Waunakee to give them a 3-1 record on the season. Grant Chandonais led SPASH with a team-high 19 points.
