Artist explains Indian beading

Karen Hoffman will discuss the history and significance of beading in American Indian culture at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 13, at the Waupaca Area Public Library.



Selected as a Master Folk Artist by the Wisconsin Arts Board in 2007, Hoffman is an award-winning artist and a member of the Oneida Nation. She holds a master's degree in human development from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.



Sponsored by the Winchester Academy, the program is free and open to the public. Hoffman will have her work on display.
