WAUPACA – The Waupaca Community Arts Hub, a program of the Waupaca Community Arts Board, is celebrating its fourth anniversary. Originally the group offered a small selection of music and art classes, now it serves nearly 200 students weekly and provides a broad range of programs including music, art, improv, digital art, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Math), and community outreach.
Their programming has been so successful that the Arts Hub has run out of space in its current location at First United Methodist Church (FUMC).
“We are grateful to First United Methodist Church - without them, the Arts Hub would never have gotten its start. Moving to a new home, the Arts Hub will build on its current programming and provide more opportunities for community engagement. The Arts Hub will soon launch a 1.5 million dollar comprehensive campaign that will enable us to purchase a building, build-out, equip, and operate the new space. We’re excited to take this next step in the Arts Hub’s journey,” said Marci Reynolds, co-founder of the Arts Hub. “This campaign will allow us to expand our reach and continue fostering creativity and community engagement in the Waupaca area.”
The Arts Hub remains committed to making the arts accessible to all. By providing tuition assistance and after-school transportation for students in the School District of Waupaca, they ensure that financial barriers do not prevent young people from engaging in creative activities.
