John W. Boutwell, age 84 of Waupaca, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
John was born August 10, 1939; son of the late John and Emma (Hovelson) Boutwell in the Town of Farmington, WI. After attending High School in Manawa, John joined the United States Air Force in 1956, where he received his GED. John was honorable discharged in 1960 and then worked for Steelmill in Indiana. In 1973, John moved back to Wisconsin and worked as a mechanic for Dushek Trucking and Wagners Cheese.
John was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Waupaca and the Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, tractor pulls, gardening and especially spending time with his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife Marilyn Boutwell, children Darla (Mark) Beyer, Brian (Cindy) Boutwell, Terry (Jenny) Boutwell, John Boutwell, Kimberly (Jeff Olson) Boutwell, grandchildren, Mark Beyer Jr, Kristin Beyer, Lance Boutwell, Tyler Boutwell, Dylan Boutwell, Justin Moen, Hunter Zielke, Erica Russell, Casey Boutwell, Izyak Olson, siblings Donald (Kathy) Boutwell, Nancy (Jim) Penkalski, David Boutwell, Sandy Boutwell, Gaylen (Lisa) Boutwell, Wayne (Jeanne) Boutwell, step-children Bruce Peterson, Mark Peterson, Brett (significant other Paula) Peterson, Alice Jansen, step-grandchildren, Alyssia Peterson, Michelle (fiancé Kyle Grube) Peterson, Megan (Ben) Stevens, Jamie Peterson, Brett (girlfriend Johanna) Justin (Tatiana) Jansen, Ashley Jansen, John’s cats Diamond & Lilly, also many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Patricia Dombrowski, Ruth Miller and infant Janet Boutwell.
Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of service at Noon. Burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park with Military Honors.
