Bremmer, Jessica

Posted

Jessica L. Bremmer, age 48, of Waupaca, WI, passed away due to recent health issues on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She was born August 30, 1976, in Stevens Point, the daughter of Mark Toftum and Jo Jo Mork.

Jessica graduated in 1994 from West Bend East High School and later attended Fox Valley Technical College. On September 3, 1994, she was blessed with the birth of her son, Jacob, whom she adored with all her heart. On April 11, 2004, she married Sandy Bremmer in Las Vegas, Nevada, and together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and music. Their home overlooking the Chain O' Lakes was a sanctuary where Jessica found peace, joy, and endless inspiration.

A true free spirit with a heart full of passion, Jessica embraced life with energy and enthusiasm. She was an interior design consultant with Macco’s Floor Covering Center in Schofield, where she thrived, bringing beauty and creativity into the homes of many.  She absolutely loved her job at Macco’s and the co-workers she worked with. But beyond her work, Jessica had a deep love for people—she never met a stranger, only a friend she hadn’t talked to yet. Whether at a concert, out on the lake, or simply striking up a conversation, she radiated warmth and positivity.

Music was the heartbeat of Jessica’s life. A devoted concert enthusiast, she believed there was no better feeling than getting lost in the sound of her favorite bands, singing along at the top of her lungs. Rock “n” roll and heavy metal wasn’t just a genre to her—it was a way of life, a soundtrack to her happiest moments, and a reminder to always live boldly.

Her love for the water was just as strong. Boating on the Chain, feeling the sun on her face, and letting the waves carry her worries away was her idea of pure bliss. She also had a creative spirit, expressing herself through arts and crafts and finding joy in gardening. And when it came to sports, Jessica was a loyal fan, cheering passionately for her Wisconsin teams—the Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, and Packers—whether from the stands or at home.

Jessica’s bright energy, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Sandy Bremmer of Waupaca; her son, Jacob (Nicole) McMullen of Wisconsin Rapids; and her beloved grandson, Barrett Jeffrey McMullen. She also leaves behind her mother, Jo Jo (Tom Poznanski) Mork of Scandinavia; step-mother, Pamela Smith-Toftum of Waupaca; sisters, Lori (Andy) O'Brien of Amherst, Nikki (Carl) Johnson of Waupaca, and Amy Jo (Barney) of Scandinavia; step-sister, Jenny Orr of Waupaca; mother-in-law, Caren (Bob) Mittelstaedt of Waupaca; father-in-law, Randy (Dolly) Bremmer of Waupaca; brother-in-law-in-heart, Brook (Liz) Bremmer of Waupaca; step-sister-in-law, Mary (Neil) Schulke of Wild Rose; two step-brothers-in-law, Jason (Holly) Hagen of Hawaii and BJ (Kara) Mittelstaedt of Fox Valley; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Toftum; her nephew, Sammy Ray Burgoyne; brother-in-law, Timothy Bremmer; her maternal grandparents, Bill and Betty Mork; her paternal grandparents, Ray and Leona Toftum; maternal grandparents-in-law, Ken and Margaret Carey; paternal grandparents-in-law, Francis and Mary Bremmer; two aunts, Lori Mork and Shelley Toftum; and an uncle, Gerald Mork.

A Memorial Service for Jessica will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.  Pastor Mark Sabin will officiate. A visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the family or a charity of one's choice.  Following the service, family and friends are invited to continue celebrating Jessica’s life at Silver Lake Lanes in Scandinavia, where her love of music, laughter, and good company will be honored in true Jess fashion.    The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.

Though the music has quieted, Jessica’s song will play on in the hearts of those who loved her. Rock on forever, Jess.
