Eugene R. Buckarma, age 79, of New London, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 15, 2023, with family by his side.
Eugene was born in Oconto, Wisconsin, on February 15, 1944, to the late Naheem (Shorty) and Frances (Ciha) Buckarma. He married Jeanne Ullman on June 25, 1983, and resided in New London. Eugene drove semi-trucks for 43 years, starting his career at Hillshire and retiring from USF Holland in 2006. His most prized possessions were his two semi-trucks, the Mack and Freightliner, along with his 63 1/2 Ford Falcon. Eugene loved doing puzzles, bowling, and restoring old cars with his son, Scott.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Jeanne; his cat, Oreo; his children, Scott (Kristy Smith) Buckarma, Heather (Mike) Lillge, and Andrea Buckarma; and two stepchildren, James (Erica) Kelley and Jennifer (Matt) Vande Hey; and his sister, Doris Budwit, and her children. He is further survived by his 14 grandchildren, Kayla, Katie, Kirstyn, Johanna, Amanda, Rachel, Theodore, Aaden, Scott, Jeffrey, Randall, Trent, Trevor, and Mason; and his 3 great-grandchildren, Hadleigh, Everleigh, Kyler, and a fourth that is due in October. He is further survived by brother in-laws, Chuck (Kathy) Ullman, Barry, Christianson; and sister-in-laws, Linda (Dave) Ratajczak,
and Teresa (Steve Beuwens) Ullman.
Eugene was proceeded in death by his parents, Naheem and Frances; and 2 sister in-laws, Sue Christianson and Jane Sperling.

The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London, with Pastor Seth Dorn officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
