The New London Bulldogs won in four sets over the Green Bay East Red Devils on Thursday, Oct. 10, to move ahead in the Bay conference standings.
In the opening set, the Red Devils went up 20-17 before a kill by Bulldogs Chesney Magolski cut the deficit 24-22, and the Bulldogs would eventually tie the first set at 24-24.
The Red Devils closed out the set at 27-25.
In the second set, the Bulldogs got up 9-6 early, which led to a 16-11 lead. The Bulldogs kept the pace up as they went up 21-15, and closed out the set 25-22 and tied the match 1-1.
In the third set, the match became tied up at 13-13 before the Bulldogs went on a 10-0 run, giving them a 23-13 lead, and they closed out the set at 25-16.
In the fourth set. The Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-5 lead. The Red Devils did come back late in the set, closing the gap in the score, but it was too little too late as the Bulldogs finished the set at 25-19.
