Calling 911

• Sept. 9 – Cork’s Small Engine Repair reported a fraud where they purchased a $307 item and never received it.

• Sept. 9 – A Weyauwega man on State Highway 49 reported a power pole was struck by a hit-and-run driver. The utility pole broke off, the transformer was on the ground and wires were everywhere.

• Sept. 9 – An unknown caller reported a suspicious man with a beard and wearing a blue backpack and sunglasses. He was pushing a girl’s pink bicycle with garbage bags hanging off both handles.

• Sept. 9 – Go Riteway reported a dark blue van blew passed a school bus while it was stopped and letting off a child.

• Sept. 9 – An unknown caller reported the death of a semi-truck driver.

• Sept. 9 – A Waupaca woman on Main Street reported a restraining order violation. Her ex-husband called her from the Waupaca County jail.

• Sept. 9 – A Manawa man on Factory Street reported a suspicious man looking at a car on his property.

• Sept. 10 – A cell phone caller reported a man walking in the middle of the road heading towards Waupaca.

• Sept. 10 – A Marion woman on Mavis Road reported she was drugged and was now “remembering bits and pieces.” She last recalled she was speaking to a man named “Sam.”

• Sept. 10 – A cell caller reported the arms at the train crossing were down for an unusually long amount of time. Canadian National was advised.

• Sept. 10 – A Clintonville man on Lakeshore Road reported his neighbor came over twice to scream at him about killing her dogs. He said he has no idea what she is talking about.

• Sept. 10 – A Manawa man on Nollenberg Road reported a juvenile runaway.

• Sept. 10 – A New London man on County Trunk W requested a welfare check on a man he speaks to daily. The man wasn’t answering the door or the phone but his car was in the driveway and the doors were locked.

• Sept. 10 – A Waupaca caller on Radley Road reported receiving harassing messages from a man.

• Sept. 10 – A Waupaca man on Polly Road reported receiving a fraud-related call from Bank First and they knew his Social Security number and other account information.

• Sept. 10 – An Ogdensburg man on County Road B reported the theft of his leaf blower and Sawzall.

• Sept. 10 – A 911 caller reported a gas smell in a house.

• Sept. 10 – A 911 caller reported a 58-year old man was convulsing and possibly having a stroke.

• Sept. 10 – An Iola woman on McKinley Street reported a suspicious man pulled up in a silver van and trailer and walked around a construction site.

• Sept. 10 – A Waupaca man on Rural Road reported there were multiple people in his yard when he got home and they took off via boats in the river.

• Sept. 10 – A Waupaca man on Pine Lane reported a man dressed in all black was lying in the ditch and shining a bright light at passing vehicles.
• Sept. 11 – Waupaca County Human Services reported receiving a text message from a suicidal woman “with a plan.”

• Sept. 11 – A 911 caller reported the death of an 80-year-old male.

• Sept. 11 – A Waupaca caller on Pryse Drive reported his Glock 17 handgun was stolen.

• Sept. 11 – Rawhide Youth Services reported people were restraining a male juvenile being violent.

• Sept. 11 – Indian Crossing Casino reported they terminated two employees who took $1,000 out of the safe and walked out. They also hacked into the point-of-sale system and deleted information.

• Sept. 11 – A Ogdensburg man on County Trunk E reported his neighbors keep putting items over the property line.

• Sept. 11 – An unknown caller reported she owned a cabin and she got a call from a neighbor that there are lights all around the cabin. Nobody is supposed to be there.

• Sept. 11 – A caller reported a woman showed up at her workplace and threatened to “kick her ass” because some messages sent to a man appeared to be from the caller.

• Sept. 12 – A Clintonville man on County Trunk C reported being scammed out of $1,500 via a PayPal transaction.

• Sept. 12 – The Aspirus clinic in Iola reported a man made suicidal comments and mentioned shooting himself.

• Sept. 12 – An adult caller reported a juvenile did not attend school for two days and the adult could not make the juvenile go to school. The adult wanted an officer to visit and “force the issue.”

• Sept. 12 – An unknown caller requested an ambulance for a 76-year-old man who had fallen and stayed there since the night before. The man was in a lot of pain.
• Sept. 12 – ThedaCare New London reported a male patient was punched while at a bar.

• Sept. 12 – An Ogdensburg caller on County Trunk B reported his ex-girlfriend might have drugged him. He thought she might have put cocaine in his morning coffee. He took an at-home drug test and it turned out positive.

• There were four deer-related calls during this period. Five controlled burns were called in. A delivery man reported being bitten in the groin and arm by a shepherd-mixed dog.
