Waupaca County sheriff’s report May 12

  • May 3 – A Waupaca woman on Whitetail Trail reported a suspicious two-door white truck that slowly drives around the neighborhood.
  • May 3 – Bear Creek Travel Plaza reported a gas drive-off valued at $41. It was a small black car.
  • May 4 – A New London woman on Weyauwega Road reported a person did a burnout and took out her mailbox.
  • May 4 –A New London caller on Kanaman reported a 70-year-old man “took something” in the form of drugs from a friend and now the man feels like he is spinning.
  • May 4 – A Waupaca caller on Sky View Lane reported being involved in a crypto scam.
  • May 4 – A Manawa caller on Bridge Street reported an 18-year-old male possibly overdosed and was unconscious.
  • May 4 – An Iola caller on Iola Street reported a man would not leave her house.
  • May 4 – A Weyauwega caller on Evanswood Road reported a person was driving a red truck in the neighbor’s yard and shooting at sandhill cranes.
  • May 4 – An Iola caller on State Street reported her husband will not return her vehicle keys so she could leave. She had not been drinking but her husband was.
  • May 4 – A Waupaca caller on County Trunk Q reported a man grabbed her by the hair and hit her on the head.
  • May 4 – A New London caller on Sleepy Lane reported the sound of a man screaming east of Robe Road.
  • May 5 – A Marion caller on Bertram Street reported her husband threw things at her and left on foot.
  • May 5 – An unknown caller reported they had a large brush pile ready to be burned. Today they noticed the brush pile was already on fire and had no idea who would have lit it up.
  • May 5 – A Waupaca caller on East Road reported the possible overdose of a 50-year-old man.
  • May 5 – An anonymous caller reported a red Ford Mustang with a modified exhaust that was so loud the driver wore ear plugs. The driver lives on Silver Lake Road.
  • May 5 – A Mayville caller requested a welfare check on a man that she had an argument with and the man’s parting statement was, “Having a great life, goodbye.”
  • May 5 – An Iola caller on Kenwood Drive requested an ambulance for an 18-year-old male who had a seizure and was sick with a fever.
  • May 5 – A Waupaca caller on Royalton Street reported a woman was having a mental breakdown and a man will not let her go.
  • May 6 – The Store in Manawa reported a man in a red Ford car at pump five was slumped over and drooling.
  • May 6 – A Manawa caller on Progress Road reported she picked up a little boy who was walking northbound on State Highway 22-110. The boy said he got on the bus and got off the bus.
  • May 6 – A Marion caller on Bowers Road reported the death of an 81-year-old man.
  • May 6 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for a 98-year-old man with shallow breathing.
  • May 6 – A 911 caller reported a barn fire on Golke Road in the town of Farmington.
  • May 7 – An Iola caller on Tresness Road reported that while her child was waiting for the school bus, a male driver in a gray or silver SUV stopped twice in the last two days to ask for directions.
  • May 7 – An anonymous caller reported farm animals being kept in “horrible conditions” on Crystal Lake Road.
  • May 7 – An unknown juvenile caller reported a friend when home early from school because of depression and bipolar issues. The friend was now texting the caller for help and asking the caller to call the police.
  • May 7 – A 911 caller reported the death of a 65-year-old woman.
  • May 8 – A Weyauwega woman on Holiday Road reported a suspicious white truck towing a car-hauling trailer. The vehicle was driving slowly up and down the road.
  • May 8 – A Manawa caller on County Yard Road reported finding two backpacks in the ditch, one with a laptop computer and the other with an Xbox.
  • May 8 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
  • May 8 – An Iola caller on County Trunk G reported his neighbor gave him the middle finger.
  • May 9 – Readfield Elementary School reported a man sleeping inside of a white GMC truck in the parking lot.
  • May 9 – A Clintonville caller on Paape road reported his ex-wife broke into his house. He said she walks right in whenever she wants to and it has to stop.
  • May 9 – An Iola caller on County Trunk G reported his neighbor gave him the middle finger yesterday and now today the neighbor is playing his music too loud with a average of 72 decibels.
  • May 9 – A Waupaca caller on Jensen Road reported fraudulent charges on her debit card.
  • May 9 – An Embarrass caller on Depot Street reported her boyfriend slammed her head against the wall, would not let her leave and he would not leave the house.
  • May 9 – A Clintonville caller on Lakeshore Road reported her neighbors put a No Trespassing sign over her No Trespassing sign.
  • May 9 – A Fremont caller on Wolf River Drive reported a suspicious silver pickup driving through the area and stopping by her house several times.
  • May 9 – Fremont caller on Wolf River Drive reported someone knocked on his window saying someone had a knife.
  • May 10 – A New London caller on Depot Street reported the theft of 40 chickens.
  • May 10 – A Clintonville caller on Kratzke Road reported his neighbor was mowing his lawn and as the caller drove by, grass and gravel hit the caller’s truck.
  • May 10 – A Waupaca caller on Dayton Road reported people were trespassing on his land looking for their cattle.
  • May 10 – A Clintonville caller on Lakeshore Road reported her neighbors were trespassing on her property again. She had them on camera calling her “a dumb.”
  • May 10 – A 911 caller requested an ambulance for an 85-year-old man who was bleeding heavily. The caller said they “can see the skull.”
  • May 11 - A Waupaca caller on Raymond Drive reported an elderly man holding a bag was standing in the middle of the road and trying to stop traffic.
  • May 11 – Corner Express in Embarrass reported a gas drive-off valued at $21 by a man on a motorcycle.
  • May 11 – An Amherst Junction caller reported a man was staying at her Airbnb and wasn’t supposed to be staying there. The man is a registered sex offender.
  • May 12 – ThedaCare Hospice reported the theft of prescription medications after a patient died.
  • May 12 – A Waupaca caller on Granite Street reported a man with a knife was cutting his wrist.
  • May 12 – A New London caller on Weiland Road reported someone broke into his garage the night before.
  • May 12 – A New London caller on Weiland Road reported someone broke into her garage the night before.
  • May 12 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
  • May 12 – A Waupaca caller on Ware Street reported his dad was beating his mom on Mother’s Day.
  • A caller reported a buffalo waking in the ditch along County Trunk E north of Ogdensburg. There was an average amount of deer-auto collisions during this period. Twenty-eight controlled burns were called in. The water patrol stopped 14 boats. A Waupaca man was bitten by his cat. A Fremont caller reported two long-horn cattle were loose in the ditch along the roadway. ThedaCare in New London reported a person was bitten by a barn cat. A pony was running loose on County Trunk Y. A Scandinavia caller on Pleasant Street reported some “shepherd-type dogs” running amuck in the roadway. A Waupaca caller reported an eagle hit a power line and was dead in the roadway.
