• May 16 – A Waupaca woman on Military Road reported she received a call from a man that claimed she had a bench warrant and she needed to deposit $9,000 in Bitcoin. She deposited $2,900.
• May 16 – A Fremont man on County Trunk H reported that he was kicking out his son who was being a “pain” and he was taking stuff that was not his.
• May 16 – A Stevens Point man reported a man that was a former tenant—and that was evicted—was now back years later and trespassing on the property.
• May 16 – Anonymous caller reported speeding boats on the Chain O’ Lakes. They were not recognizing the slow, no wake zone.
• May 16 – A Waupaca man on Tomahawk Trail reported he was receiving harassing text messages from his ex-girlfriend.
• May 16 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile runaway.
• May 16 – Kwik Trip on Fulton Street in Waupaca reported an intoxicated driver in a blue truck.
• May 17 – Hotel Fremont reported a person stole two hanging baskets from the premise.
• May 17 – An Iola man on Wolf River Road reported he received a call at 2 a.m. from a crying woman. He called the number back and the woman would not say where she was or who she is.
• May 17 – Ruby’s Pantry in Waupaca reported a possible attempted burglary as the garage door at the loading dock was bent out of shape.
• May 17 – An unknown juvenile caller reported she or he was being blackmailed by a girl in Branson, Missouri. The girl demanded a $100 gift card or private photos would be made public.
• May 17 – A Waupaca man on William Drive reported someone was knocking on his door and that he was being tracked on his phone.
• May 17 – A Clintonville man on County Trunk C reported a dark Suburban was parking along the road, a person fired a gun and the vehicle took off towards Shawano County.
• May 18 – The Pub in Waupaca reported a man took another person’s wallet.
• May 18 – A Fremont man on Wolf River Drive reported a boat on the lake with nobody in it. He confirmed with binoculars.
• May 18 – A contract Amazon delivery driver using his personal vehicle reported dogs scratched his vehicle at a customer’s residence. He said the dog owners were very rude to him.
• May 18 – A Waupaca woman reported a neglected miniature pony barely able to walk.
• May 18 – An anonymous caller reported his neighbor was burning adult diapers and other garbage.
• May 18 – A female caller reported her niece was in a Dodge Caravan with a man she was afraid of. He was smoking marijuana.
• May 18 – A caller on Edgewood Drive reported the death of her husband. He had a pacemaker. She found him with a pulse but not breathing.
• May 18 – A Ogdensburg woman on Casey Road reported a broken window upon arriving home.
• May 18 – A Waupaca woman on Leroy Butler Driver reported her suspicions that a person was living in the woods next to the golf course. There was a tent and a shopping cart.
• May 18 – A Scandinavia man on Gurholt Road reported people were driving through his yard.
• May 18 – A Fremont man on Wolf River Drive reported a male and female were in a bar and threatening each other. Things got physical and they left.
• May 19 – An anonymous caller reported yelling coming from an address. A female was yelling and it sounded like a male was throwing an object. The female was yelling, “Stop it, no.”
• May 19 – ThedaCare New London requested a welfare check on a patient that previously made suicidal ideations and now they were unable to contact her.
• May 19 – A New London caller on Beacon Avenue reported a juvenile was at a “hoarder house” were drugs were present.
• May 19 – A Weyauwega woman on Emerald Street reported a vehicle had a bullet hole on the rear passenger side.
• May 20 – A Fremont woman on County Trunk H reported a Wal-Mart delivery driver dropped off some packages and then walked over to the woods to urinate in front of her and her young children. She yelled at him.
• May 20 – A Weyauwega woman on Haire Road reported someone came onto her property and stole chicken eggs. Normally there are three dozen. Today there was one. She also noticed vehicle tracks in her driveway.
• May 20 – A Marion woman reported a suspicious man in a silver Ford minivan on her property.
• May 20 – A New London man on Robe Road reported the death of an 80-year-old female that fell down the stairs.
• May 21 – A Waupaca woman on Washington Street reported a strange man flapping his arms and looking like he was going to run into traffic.
• May 21 – A Waupaca woman on Marion Lane reported an intoxicated 22-year-old male was having suicidal thoughts.
• May 21 – A Marion woman on Parkview Avenue reported her boyfriend refused to leave but he did, about 20 minutes ago and before he left, he kicked the TV.
• May 22 – A male stopped at the sheriff’s office to report a missing man. He wasn’t missing. He was in jail.
• May 22 – A Clintonville woman on Bear Creek Road reported her personal information was compromised and her cell phone was hacked.
• May 22 – Crossroads Care Center reported a missing coin purse containing $80 in change.
• May 22 – Studio 212 in Waupaca requested a welfare check on woman recently at the salon. In previous times, they helped her into the salon by putting her into an office chair and rolling her in. She had poor hygiene and it appeared she wasn’t being taken care of.
• • May 22 – A Fremont man on Waupaca Street reported he found an envelope of $100 bills. He took them to Farmer’s State Bank and they informed him they were counterfeit.
There were 14 deer-related calls during this period. Four controlled burns were called in. The sheriff’s water patrol is back on the lakes and they stopped five boats. A caller reported a brown draft horse was running loose. She thought it might be from a Cobbtown Road address. ThedaCare Shawano reported a dog bite. On May 16, there were numerous reports of fallen trees blocking roads and other trees that were contacting electrical lines and sparking and smoking.
