• Sept. 15 – An Iola man stopped in the Sheriff’s Office lobby to report fraud. He was receiving docu-sign emails for loans he did not apply for.
• Sept. 15 – An Ogdensburg woman on County Trunk K reported a suspicious gray Toyota parked by her animal pasture. She approached the vehicle and the driver took off with haste.
• Sept. 15 – An Embarrass woman on Riverview Lane reported an alcoholic man was driving drunk with a bottle of vodka in the glove compartment.
• Sept. 15 – A New London woman on Buelow Road reported her basketball backboard was shattered. There was no explanation on how it happened.
• Sept. 15 – A Manawa man reported a missing stop sign at an intersection.
• Sept. 15 – Hortonville Police Department requested a welfare check on a Clintonville-area juvenile that made suicidal comments to a friend while on the phone.
• Sept. 16 – A Waupaca woman on County Trunk QQ reported that while she was in jail, she suspected her stepmother of taking some tools and other items without her permission.
• Sept. 17 – A New London man on Ostrander Road reported receiving a text from his daughter and his wife stated, “The last thing you want to do is [expletive] around with [man’s name]’s family or they will put you in the hospital.”
• Sept. 17 – A Scandinavia woman on Poverty Hill Road reported a fraudulent encounter with a suspicious blacktop paving outfit from Madison that refused to give the name of their company.
• Sept. 17 – A Waupaca woman on County Trunk QQ reported a man with a warrant was in her basement.
• Sept. 17 – A Scandinavia woman on Pleasant Street reported her brother—who is a sex offender—was getting aggressive and threatening comments on Facebook.
• Sept. 17 – A Scandinavia man on Shady Drive reported his wife sent him a photo of her arm with multiple cuts. He believes they were intentional. She also sent him suicidal messages.
• Sept. 18 – A Waupaca woman on Western Avenue stopped in the Sheriff’s Office lobby with video evidence of juvenile stealing money from a cash box.
• Sept. 18 – An Iola man on Chet Krause Drive reported the boyfriend of his ex called him and said he was going to “rip his head off.”
• Sept. 18 – A Manawa woman on County Trunk B reported a man called her and said she won the mega million lottery. She gave him her bank account information over the phone.
• Sept. 18 – A Fremont woman on Stanley Drive reported a Fed Ex truck struck her house and caused damage.
• Sept. 18 – A Big Falls woman on Chester Street requested a welfare check on an elderly man whose mail was piling up.
• Sept. 19 – A Clintonville woman on Buelow Road reported her mother was laundering money and she contacted her daughter and tried to funnel money through her accounts.
• Sept. 19 –A Marion man on Garfield Avenue reported hearing gun shots near Main Street.
• Sept. 20 – A Weyauwega woman on Birdsall Street reported a juvenile runaway.
• Sept. 20 – Rawhide Youth Services reported a juvenile punched a staff member in the face and then used a stick to damage a vehicle.
• Sept. 21 – A Waupaca man on 8th Street reported a female locked a man out of the house and was threatening suicide.
• There were nine deer-related calls during this period. Three controlled burns were called in. A caller reported a loose horse with a saddle but no rider on County Trunk AA near Reek Road. A Waupaca woman recovered a dog that was lost for three days. A driver in a Trailblazer struck a calf in the road. Numerous fallen trees were reported in the roadways.
