The driver accused of injuring three people in a head-on crash on U.S. 10 in the town of Lind is currently in custody on a $25,000 cash bond.
Daniel Pachecobolanos, 36, Neenah, is charged with three felony counts of second-degree reckless endangerment and one count of operating while intoxicated causing injury.
According to the criminal complaint, at 7:55 p.m. Monday, March 26, a 911 caller reported an eastbound vehicle traveling in the westbound lanes of U.S. Highway 10 near Holiday Road,
The Waupaca County Communications Center received four more 911 calls reporting the vehicle traveling the wrong way on the highway.
At 7:59 p.m. a 911 caller reported a head-on crash on U.S. 10 near Frontage Road in Lind.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a red PT Cruiser and a Toyota Corolla blocking traffic in the westbound lanes. Both vehicles had extensive front-end damage.
The driver of the PT Cruiser was identified as Pachecobolanos.
Two male passengers in the Cruiser, ages 22 and 33, were injured and transported for medical treatment.
The 22-year-old female driver of the Toyota also required transport to a hospital.
Pachecobolanos was taken to ThedaCare in Waupaca for a blood draw, then released to be taken to the Waupaca County jail.
