Chiefs take care of Manawa boys

Posted

It was a chance for the Manawa boys’ basketball team to win its first Central Wisconsin Conference-East game.

It was also a chance for Shiocton to move up in the standings.

The Wolves will have to wait longer for their first conference win, as they ended up on the short end of a 66-41 score on Jan. 10.

Manawa trailed 34-21 at halftime and never got any closer in the second half.

Manawa’s Brady Jaeckle led all players with 18 points, and Brayden Zielke added 10 for the Wolves.

Brett Singler, Kyle Bergsbaken, and Elijah Jorgensen led four Shiocton players in double figures with 14 points each, while Connor Bergsbaken added 11.
