Clintonville girls’ soccer proved to be no match for Peshtigo as they lost 8-0 in their season opener.
The Truckers kept Peshtigo off the scoreboard in the opening minutes of the match, as 2024 All-North Eastern Conference Honorable Mention Hannah Wester made several early saves.
Clintonville’s defense started to break down as Peshtigo’s Audra Bauman asserted her will in the match.
Bauman scored the first four goals of the match, and Andrea Florke scored later in the first half to make it 5-0.
It became 6-0 later in the match as Bauman scored her fifth goal of the first half and would score early in the second half to make it a 7-0 lead. One more goal for Peshtigo gave the final score of 8-0.
