Clintonville softball loses at home

The Truckers could not get enough offense to make a comeback against Luxemburg-Casco on May 2, as they fell into an early 7-0 hole.

Riley Westlund drove in the first run for Luxemburg-Casco with a double, and Emma Murphy drove Westlund in with a single to make the score 2-0.

Alayna Deprez hit a double to widen the gap in the score as it became 3-0, and Brianna Bray hit a single for Luxemburg-Casco’s fourth run of the game.

Lauren Lindsley provided the afternoon’s highlight as she hit a two-run home run to give Luxemburg-Casco a 7-0 lead.

Clintonville rallied to put four runs on the board, but Luxemburg-Casco finished the game 7-4.
