Clintonville softball wins in three innings over Waupaca

The Clintonville Truckers traveled to Waupaca on May 5 to win with a blowout victory over the Comets.

Rainna Miller scored first for Clintonville as she hit an RBI in the top of the opening inning.

Abby Tate hit a sliding triple to bring in Miller to score and put the score at 2-0.

Claire Papendorf drove in a run to make the score 3-0.

It became 7-0 as Ava Kasson had a base hit, and it went to the top of the batting order in the first inning.

The Truckers crossed home plate again after a bases-loaded walk made the score 8-0.

Tate hit a two-run double, and the score became 10-0 in the opening inning.

Alivia Cartwright followed with a two-run single to make the score 12-0 and finish the Clintonville scoring in the second inning.

Kelsey Maus started the scoring in the second inning for the Truckers, hitting an RBI double to make the score 13-0.

Tate drove in two more runs with a double to score and have a 15-0 lead.

Cartwright drove in another run with a single, and it was a 16-0 game.

The Comets put runs on the board in the bottom of the second inning to make the deficit 16-5.

Miller drove in two more runs in the top of the third inning with a double to push the score to 18-5.

Three more runs were scored in the inning to call the game in the third, as Clintonville got the 21-5 win.
