Clintonville’s Addy Lundt breaks record at conference meet

Clintonville Truckers Addy Lundt made her mark on the Bay Conference record book on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Sturgeon Bay. Addy set a new record for the 100-yard Breaststroke at the 2024 Bay Conference championship swim meet.

Lundt posted a time of 1:06.15, which bested the record of Taylor Crain of New London, who set the standard of 1:07.77 in 2007. Addy also broke her personal Clintonville girls’ swim team record, which she had previously set at 1:07.97.

Addy broke another additional Clintonville girls’ swim team record at the meet. Breaking the 200-yard Individual Medley record with a 2:17.97 time, the record belonged to Gaby Goerlinger at 2:20.5.

The Truckers team was well represented at the Bay Conference meet. Lexie Lundt placed fifth in the 500-yard Freestyle and eighth in the 100-yard Backstroke. Kenzie Smith placed 10th, and Tylie Kersten placed 14th in the 100-yard Backstroke. In the 100-yard Freestyle, Smith placed eighth, Chloe Brzezinski placed 16th, Jasmine Heigl placed 22nd, and Lauren Van Straten placed 25th.

In the 200-yard Freestyle, Brzezinski placed 16th, and Sofia Parra finished 18th.

In the 50-yard Freestyle, Cadence Rose placed 18th,  Kersten placed 20th, Heigl placed 24th, and Van Straten placed 26th.

During the 200-yard Medley Relay, Lexie Lundt/Addy Lundt/Kenzie Smith/Chloe Brzezinski placed 4th. The team of Tylie Kersten,/Sofia Parra/Cadence Rose/Jasmine Heigl placed 12th.

In the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, the group of Tylie Kersten/Jasmine Heigl/Sofia Parra/Cadence Rose placed 11th, and the team for the 400-yard Freestyle Relay comprised of Chloe Brzezinski/Kenzie Smith/Lexie Lundt/Addy Lundt 5th place.

The Truckers finished fifth overall and will compete at Sectionals in Ashwaubenon on Saturday, Nov.9.
