Two new candidates will seek election to City Council seats, and two School Board seats will also be filled in Clintonville after elections in April.
City Council
Jolene Van Beek has submitted election papers in District 2. Current District 2 Alderperson Joe Lamia has turned in non-candidacy papers for that seat, and will not seek re-election.
Greg Rose has submitted election papers in District 4. He will run against incumbent Alderperson Lois Bressette, who will run for re-election.
Alderperson John Wilson submitted non-candidacy papers in District 3. Jerry Jorgenson, who was appointed to a council seat in September of 2008 and then elected for a two-year term in 2009, has returned papers and will seek election to the seat being vacated by Wilson.
Incumbent Bill Zeinert will seek re-election in District 1. Incumbent Mark Doornink will seek re-election in District 5.
All seats up for election have a two-year term length.
School Board
Two School Board seats, held by incumbents Tim Schultz and Dirk Weber, are up for election this year.
Schultz and Weber will both run for re-election. Judith Magee will also run for election to the school board.
Both School Board seats have a three-year term length.
Candidates had until 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, to return election papers. Elections will be held Tuesday, April 2.
