Injured driver flown to hospital

A 52-year-old Clintonville man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30 in the town of Larrabee.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, the man was westbound on Lakeshore Road when he failed to stop his car at a stop sign and broadsided a van traveling south on U.S. Highway 45.

The occupants of the van were the female driver, 35, Wittenberg, and two young children. They were treated on the scene for minor injuries and released.

The driver of the car had to be extricated and transported by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

The crash remains under investigation. No names have been released yet.
