Waupaca police were dispatched to the State Highway 22/54 exit ramp off U.S. Highway 10 shortly before 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19.
A semi tractor-trailer failed to negotiate the curve on the eastbound exit, and rolled onto its side.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle sustained no injuries, but was arrested for operating while intoxicated. As of Friday morning, charges have not been filed against the driver.
The exit ramp remained closed for several hours while the semi was removed.
Waupaca police were assisted at the scene by Waupaca County deputies, Waupaca firefighters, Gold Cross Ambulance, Nelson’s Towing, Femal’s Towing and the Waupaca County Highway Department.
