Dallmann, Jeanette

Posted

Jeanette Agnes Dallmann, age 89, of Mukwa, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5th at Trinity Terrace.

Jeanette was born on December 2, 1933 in Shawano, Wisconsin to the late Henry Frederick Dallman and the late Mary (Bertram) Dallman. She worked as a governess in the Chicago area for many years helping families. She also worked at several hospitals over the years as a nurse’s aide.

Jeanette was quite a phenomenal woman, and could do anything she put her mind to, including building a house with her mother; the very house that they would live in for many, many years. They built that house without any power tools. They sawed every board by hand and carried each brick one by one. Jeanette enjoyed the companionship of her mother until she passed away at the age of 92.

In her free time, Jeanette loved gardening and bird watching. She also enjoyed collecting stamps and coins.

Jeanette is survived by her brother, Kieth Dallmann, and she was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Dallmann.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanette will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 10th at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London, with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service. Burial will be in Floral Hill Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Trinity Terrace and the Compassus Hospice nurses for the loving care given to Jeanette. They would also like to thank Dr. Jim Ziegler for his kindness over the last several years. Most of all, they would like to express their appreciation to a very special person, Carrie Doughty, who helped Jeanette with showering, shopping, and any other daily need she might have had.
