WAUPACA – The Winchester Academy of Waupaca’s 2025 Fall Series will have nine programs. The free programs are open to the public and are held on Monday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Most programs are held in the lower level meeting rooms of the Waupaca Area Public Library (check below for other venues). The nine programs in the series cover a variety of topics.
• September 8, “Understanding U.S. Immigration in 2025: Laws, Lives, Reality,” Marc E. Christopher, immigration attorney.
• September 15: “Red Sky Cider & Wine” by John Sturm, orchard owner. This program will be held at the orchard on State Highway 54 west of Waupaca.
• September 22: “Rule of Law Challenges for America” by James Santelle, attorney and former U.S. prosecutor.
• September 29: “Regional Aquatic Invasive Species Program” by Chris Hamerla, coordinator at Golden Sands Resource Conservation & Development Council, Inc.
• October 13: “Iceland to Madeline: Connections Between Vikings & Ojibwe” by Patty Lowe, PhD, professor emerita at northwestern University. This program will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church.
• October 20: “Noble Community Clinics: Community Health in Action” by Laura Waldvogel, president and CEO of Noble Community Clinics.
• October 27: “The Spirit of Curling in Wisconsin” by Anne Pryor, avid curler and former state folklorist of Wisconsin.
• November 3: “Forensic Anthropology in Wisconsin” by Jordan Kirsten, PhD, professor of anthropology at UW-Oshkosh.
• November 17: “Identity Theft: Protect and Prevent” by Jeffrey Kersten, Outreach Specialist for the Wisconsin Bureau of Consumer Protection.
Winchester Academy is a nonprofit Waupaca organization administered by a volunteer board of trustees. It brings engaging, informative, and educational programs to the community, recognizing that the love of learning continues throughout life and outside of school walls.
