Fatal crash in Dayton

Vehicle rollover Sunday night

The driver of a pickup truck was killed in a one-vehicle rollover crash shortly before 11:17 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in the town of Dayton.

According to the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Crystal Lake Road near East Road when the driver lost control, the vehicle rolled and the driver was ejected. The driver was the sole occupant of the truck.

Deputies responded and began life-saving measures on the driver, who was then transported to ThedaCare Medical Center in Waupaca.

Staff from the Waupaca County Medial Examiner’s Office pronounced the driver dead at the hospital.
