FFA garners state win

NEW LONDON – New London was named the winner of the state FFA Agricultural Issues Contest at the 96th Wisconsin FFA Convention in Madison. Members of the New London Agricultural Issues team were Vincent Backes, Layne Eidenberger, Morgan Williams, Danielle Tank, and Brya Schidt. The advisor is Crystal Retzlaff.
The teams were asked to select and research an agricultural topic and develop a presentation to explain and provide alternatives to the issue.
Pardeeville took second plaace.
New London will represent Wisconsin at the 98th National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana this November. The national winner will be selected from a group of state finalists and will receive a plaque and additional scholarship money.
