WAUPACA – The City of Waupaca has hired Joshua Finch the new city administrator. He starts on June 16.
Finch brings seven years of experience in local government and public administration. He served as city administrator in Hillsboro where he led projects such as downtown revitalization, the establishment of a local chamber of commerce, and the development of a combined childcare and senior center. Under his leadership, Hillsboro secured more than $2.95 million in grant funding, including a $964,000 grant for a park reconstruction project. Hillsboro experienced a 30% increase in equalized value during his tenure.
“On behalf of the Council, I am pleased to welcome Josh to the City of Waupaca,” said Mayor Brian Smith. “Josh’s background in public administration, proven leadership and passion for our community will be invaluable as we continue to advance Waupaca’s priorities and enhance the quality of life for our residents.”
“I am honored to serve Waupaca and will approach my work with a public servant attitude to build upon its recent successes. I look forward to engaging with residents and the business community and being active with civic groups,” said Finch.
