In a non-conference matchup on Oct. 13 the Fox Valley Association champion Hortonville Polar Bears (14-1-1) continued their dominant form, securing a 2–0 shutout victory over the Notre Dame Academy Tritons (7-6-4) at Notre Dame Academy in Green Bay.
Hortonville established control early, scoring one goal in each half to build an insurmountable lead.
Noah Rindt played a pivotal role in the Polar Bears’ offensive drive, tallying both a goal and an assist on his single shot on goal.
Hortonville maximized its scoring opportunities, converting both of its shots on goal into scores to maintain a perfect 100% shot-on-goal efficiency.
While the offense delivered key strikes, Hortonville goalkeeper Eli Ryan ensured the Tritons were kept completely off the scoreboard:
Ryan turned away all five shots on goal he faced, preserving the clean sheet with five saves and a 100% save percentage.
Notre Dame failed to break through Hortonville’s defensive line throughout all 80 minutes, dropping their season record to 7-6-4.
