Robert G. Gill, age 69, of Waupaca, WI, passed away under hospice care on Thursday, August 10, 2023

at Crossroads Care Center in Weyauwega, WI.

He was born May 10, 1954 in Stevens Point, WI; son of Ervin and Myrtle (Babcock) Gill. Bob worked as a janitor for the Waupaca School District for 40+ years. He loved to cheer for his favorite sports teams, the Milwaukee Brewers, Milwaukee Bucks, Green Bay Packers, and the Wisconsin Badgers. Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

Bob is survived by his four siblings Bonnie Gill of Waupaca, Alan Gill of Waupaca, Cheryl (John) Hentges of Wisconsin Rapids, and Tom Gill Sr. of Waupaca; nieces and nephews, who fondly called him Uncle Bobber, Amanda Hentges of Medford, Tommy (Ava) Gill of Waupaca, Joey Gill of Waupaca, Carlye Hentges of Wisconsin Rapids, Kimi (Tyler Piotter) Gill of Waupaca, and Michelle (Jason) Krug of La Crosse; great-nieces and great-nephews Charlotte Dillman, Kalli Piotter, Vera Attoe, Jace Gill, Khloi Piotter, Taevyn Gill, Malcolm Christensen, and Otto Krug.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ervin and Myrtle Gill and a brother James Gill.

A Funeral Service for Bob will be on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. Pastor Karin Derenne will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place following the service on Wednesday at Forest Cemetery in Stevens Point. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
