P.D. Hill makes several statements contrary to fact in her April 4 letter.
I will address a couple of them.
She says the Aurora killer was protected by body armor and another person with a gun could not have hurt him.
Body armor doesn't cover the whole body.
She says we justify the unregistered possession of automatic assault rifles.
The fact is that automatic assault rifles have required a a federal license for some time.
These automatic rifles (like the M4A1) are actually military assault rifles.
Rifles like an AR15 cannot be configured to be fully automatic.
A leader of the gun banning crowd, Josh Sugarmann, admitted "assault weapons' menancing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic weapons - anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun - can only increase the public support for restriction of these weapons."
Gun advocates have been exploiting this confusion for decades, with help from the lame stream media.
Frequently, guns protect children.
Jan. 5, 2013 in Atlanta, a mother protected her 9-year-old twins by shooting an intruder.
Meanwhile, Amy Stephens protected her daughters with a .243 rifle in Montana.
On Jan. 23, Clint Lowery used a gun to protect his 2-year-old daughter in Washington.
On Jan. 18. 2013, Roger Mundell of Amherst, Mass., protected his 15-year-old nephew by shooting a rabid bobcat which had his nephew by the arm.
In one month alone we protect dozens of children by use of firearms, so don't ask, "Are guns more important than the lives of children?"
It's a false choice.
Guns save kids every day.
Joe Biden admitted, "Nothing we're going to do is going to fundamentally alter or eliminate another mass shooting or guarantee that we will bring gun deaths down."
Sen. Charles Schumer admitted that the real goal of the left is "universal registration of guns and gun owers."
This leads to gun confiscation.
Ask the former gun owenrs in England, Ireland, Australia and Jamaica.
