Hall of Famers

The Weyauwega-Fremont Athletic Hall of Fame officially has its first class of inductees.

From left are Jack Wohlt, Lei Otte (accepting for Jim Otte), Matt Rhode, Brieanne Oehlke and Rich Tomaszewski. All five attended a banquet Nov. 10 at Channel Cats in Fremont.

Wohlt received 11 varsity letters in football, basketball and baseball from 1959-63; Jim Otte coached football, baseball, basketball and Little League baseball from 1951-91; Rohde was a four-time team MVP in basketball from 1997-2001; Oehlke earned 11 letters in volleyball, basketball and softball from 2002-06; and Tomaszewski earned 11 letters in football, wrestling and track from 1974-78 and competed at state four times in wrestling.
