The road to state for Wisconsin’s girls’ basketball teams begins with regional games on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
Four area teams – Hortonville, New London, Waupaca and Manawa – will open the WIAA state tournament with a home game.
Here’s a rundown of where teams are headed and who they will play.
Division 1
Top-seeded Hortonville has a bye in the first round and will host No. 16 Chippewa Falls or No. 17 Appleton West Friday, Feb. 23.
The winner of that game will play No. 8 Appleton North or No. 9 Oshkosh West for a regional championship Saturday, Feb. 24, with the highest-seeded team hosting.
Division 2
New London has a bye in the first round and the fourth-seeded Bulldogs will host No. 5 Shawano Feb. 23.
The winner will play No. 1 Notre Dame Academy, No. 8 Seymour or No. 9 Fox Valley Lutheran for a regional championship Feb. 24, with the highest-seeded team hosting.
Division 3
Waupaca has a home game scheduled for Feb. 20, while Clintonville will hit the road that day.
No. 8 Waupaca will host No. 9 Peshtigo and the 11th seeded Truckers will head to Eagle River to face No. 6 Northland Pines.
The winner of the Waupaca/Peshtigo will head to Wittenberg Feb. 23 for a regional semifinal matchup with top-seeded Wittenberg-Birnamwood, while the Clintonville/Northland Pines winner will head to Oconto Falls Feb. 23 to face the third-seeded Panthers.
Division 4
Opening-round games scheduled for Feb. 20 include No. 9 Weyauwega-Fremont heading to Manawa to face the eighth-seeded Wolves.
The winner of that game will play at No. 1 seed St. Mary Catholic Feb. 23.
Division 5
Iola-Scandinavia is a No. 15 seed and will open the tournament Feb. 20 against No. 2 Pittsville.
The winner of that game will play No. 7 Edgar or No. 10 Newman Catholic, with the highest-seeded team hosting.
All games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
