Hortonville softball went on the road to take on Wisconsin Rapids on Friday, April 27 in a tightly contested game.
In the opening inning, Wisconsin Rapids Sydney Holberg scored on an RBI triple to give her team the first run.
Holberg got home for the second run of the first inning as she scored on an RBI groundout to put the score at 2-0.
A two-run double in the second inning by Ivy Schroeder tied up the game for Hortonville at 2-2.
Abbie Sippola gave the Polar Bears the 3-2 lead with an RBI before the end of the second inning.
Wisconsin Rapids Nolita Carol tied up the game on a single to left field in the bottom of the fourth inning.
Payton Jaminski hit a two-RBI single that became the difference on the scoreboard for Wisconsin Rapids as they won with a final of 5-3.
