After a season where the Polar Bears went 2-7 and went 2-5 in their inaugural season in the Fox Valley Association in 2024, Hortonville loses several key pieces on both sides of the football.
On offense, Hortonville loses Second-Team All-FVA member offensive lineman Logan Gaffney and Honorable Mention wide receiver Levi Hebbe, who had 35 receptions for 484 yards receiving and four touchdowns.
The Polar Bears will be returning starting quarterback AJ Pheifer, who passed for 920 yards and seven touchdowns in 2024, and running back Tristan Berrens, who was the team’s leading rusher, running for 500 yards and four touchdowns, and Brennan Graf will return to be the leader on the offensive line.
On defense, the Polar Bears lose University of Idaho commit Reggie Kloehn, who was the Fox Valley Association defensive lineman of the year and a unanimous First-Team All-Fox Valley Association member, as well as Honorable Mentions, defensive lineman Matt Speilman, linebackers Kaden Heitl and Harley Juadis, and safety Levi Strange.
Linebacker Jace Frenkel, is Hortonville’s leading returning tackler with 51 and had two sacks and six tackles for loss, as well as defensive back Calen Plamann, who had 30 tackles and an interception in 2024, will return for the defense.
