In a matchup of the top two teams in the Fox Valley Association, the Polar Bears took on the Kimberly Papermakers at home on Jan.28.
The Papermakers jumped to an early lead as their defense contained the Polar Bears and went up 18- 4.
It was a 30-17 lead as the Polar Bears went into halftime with a deficit. The Papermakers kept pace as they outscored Hortonville 35-31 in the second half.
The Papermakers won by a score of 65-48 as Kimberlys’ Katelyn McGinnis scored 20 points, Polar Bears’ Julieyn Martin scored 16 points, and Rainey Welson contributed 15 points.
