Hortonville’s Rainey Welson is Wisconsin Ms. Basketball finalist

Rainey Welson has been named one of five finalists for the 2025 Wisconsin Ms. Basketball, announced on Jan. 28. She is averaging 26.4 points for the Polar Bears.

Welson, along with JJ Barnes from The Prairie School, Makena Christian from Hartford, Kristina Ouimette from Lakeland, and Amy Terrian from Pewaukee, are the finalists for the award that will be presented by the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association at the girls’ state basketball tournament.
