Event winners for the Thunderbirds included Devin Peterson in the 200-meter dash (23.54), 110-meter hurdles (16.6) and triple jump (41 feet, 7 1/4 inches); Kenny White in the 100-meter dash (12.2); Tamas Peterson in the 300-meter hurdles (43.25); Lucas Albers in the shot put (45 feet, 2 inches); the 1,600-meter relay team of Jordan Beyersdorf, Ben Hoffman, Devin Peterson and Tamas Peterson (3:37.92); and the 3,200-meter relay team of John Faldet, Hoffman, Ryan Przybylski and Derek Peterson (9:13.8).
Tanner Ross of Weyauwega-Fremont took first in the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 8 inches, while the Indians' 400-meter relay team of Michael Nelson, Austin Ristau, Dustin Hanes and Kyle Loughrin also took first with a time of 47.62.
Seconds for I-S went to Hoffman in the 800-meter run; Tamas Peterson in the 110 hurdles; Beyersdorf in the 300 hurdles and triple jump; and Ricky Melum in the shot put.
Seconds for W-F went to Nelson in the 100 and the 3,200 relay.
Team scores for the girls were W-F, 128.33; W-B, 109.5; Bonduel, 107.17; Amherst, 83; Pacelli, 66.5; I-S, 62.5; Manawa, 44; and Shiocton, 36.
Two relay teams placed first for W-F. The 400 team of Amanda Miller, Lauren Akey, Arianna Schmitz and Alyssa Wild turned in a time of 1:00.69, while Miller, Ellen Schroeder, Dacia Goetsch and Jenni Hellweg teamed up to win the 800 in 2:01.86.
Lidia Frias had the Thunderbirds' only top finish, as she won the triple jump with a leap of 30 feet, 10 inches.
Seconds for the Indians went to Miller in the 100 and long jump; Schroeder in the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs and high jump; Katie Gilbert in the 100-meter hurdles; and the 3,200 relay team.
The I-S boys also won the Charger Relays Tuesday, April 12, in Wittenberg.
Team scores for the boys were I-S, 111; Tomahawk, 104; Bonduel, 75; W-B, 70; Westfield, 51; and Amherst 37.
Hoffman, Faldet, Pryzyblski and Derek Peterson won the 3,200 relay in 9:24.31; Tamas Peterson, Beyerdorf and Devin Peterson won the 330-meter shuttle relay in 51.42; Tamas Peterson, Beyersdorf and Dakota Linjer won the 900-meter shuttle relay in 2:26.35; Albers won the shot put (123 feet, 11 1/4 inches) and discus relays (288 feet, 3 1/2 inches); and Bradly Hardel won the triple jump relay with a total distance of 115 feet, 1 3/4 inches.
Hardel also took second in the high jump relay, while the 4,800-meter relay team also took second.
Team scores for the girls were Tomahawk, 124; Mosinee, 110; W-B, 69; Amherst, 52; Bonduel, 52; I-S, 26; and Westfield, 18.
The T-Birds' 400 relay team placed second.
