I-S girls get another win

Thunderbirds top Manawa

Iola-Scandinavia had four players score in double figures Jan. 24 in a 61–31 Central Wisconsin Conference-East girls’ basketball win over Manawa.

The Thunderbirds led 25–15 at halftime before outscoring the Wolves 36–16 in the second half.

Jaelyn Sivertson led the T-Birds with 13 points, while Lillian Fuhs and McKenzie Bonikowske added 12 each and Madeline Much finished with 11. Fuhs also hit all 10 of her free throws.

Lexi Klotzbuecher led Manawa with eight points and Marilyn Klatt and Olivia Santos added five each.

Iola-Scandinavia improved to 12–3 overall, while Manawa fell to 3–12.
