The Irish of New London faced the visiting Weymont White Bass on July 12 in BABA play.
The Irish took the lead in the top of the first inning after a solo home run by Ethan Hertzfeldt to take a 1-0 lead.
New London dominated the second inning with seven runs, scoring on a bases-loaded walk, a batter hit by a pitch, back-to-back RBI singles by Ethan Bergen and Hertzfeldt, a wild pitch that sent Bergen home, and a sacrifice fly by Tucker Kohl that brought Hertzfeldt around to score.
In the top of the third inning, Bergen hit a ground ball that was reached on an error to bring in the ninth run of the game for the Irish.
A ground-out RBI made the score 10-0 for New London as Connor Brinkman earned the win, allowing only two runs and striking out nine batters.
