Waupaca County District Attorney Veronica Isherwood was sworn in during a ceremony Monday, Jan. 9, at the courthouse.
She is the first woman to serve as a district attorney in Waupaca County.
The first woman to serve on the bench in Waupaca County, Judge Vicki Clussman, gave the oath of office.
Sheriff Brad Hardel spoke about law enforcement’s appreciation of Isherwood’s hard work as an assistant district attorney.
He noted that Isherwood came out to what investigators suspected was the scene of a homicide near Clintonville and spent the entire day learning about the case and assisting officers with paperwork and warrants.
