Wendy Jo Krisel, formerly Wendy Jo Loewenhagen, peacefully passed away in Waupaca, WI on Monday, May 6, 2024.
She was born on May 27, 1960, in Appleton, WI, to Arthur and Esther (Lucy) Loewenhagen. On August 19, 1987, she exchanged vows with Christopher Krisel in Waupaca, WI, embarking on a journey of love and companionship.
Wendy’s life was marked by a deep love for her family and friends. She found joy in simple pleasures, whether it was the thrill of a bingo game, the serenity of camping trips, or the creativity of transforming ordinary items into something extraordinary. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and delicious aromas, where she poured her love into baking. Wendy had a heart as vast as the sky, always ready to offer comfort, support, and laughter to those around her. To many, she was not just a friend but a second mom, embodying kindness and compassion in every gesture.
Her affection extended beyond humans to her beloved fur babies, Lola, Brandy, and Misty, who brought her endless joy and companionship. Wendy’s passion for collecting miniatures reflected her appreciation for life’s intricacies and the beauty found in the smallest details.
Wendy is survived by her devoted husband, Chris Krisel, and their children: Michael J. Krisel, Matthew A. Krisel, Jessica L. Krisel, and John E. Gottschalk, all residing in Waupaca, WI. Her legacy extends through 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, who will carry her memory forward with love.
She is also survived by her siblings, Debra J. Schroeder, Ernest J. Loewenhagen, and Christine Neumann, all of whom shared in Wendy’s life’s joys and sorrows. Wendy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Arthur and Esther Loewenhagen, and her cherished daughter, Stacy Lynn Phillips.
Though Wendy has departed this world, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have been touched by her presence.
A Memorial Service for Wendy will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 12:00 Noon, until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
