Wisconsin Life on PBS Wisconsin will feature Jill Sisson Quinn, a writer who lives in the village of Sandinavia.
Host Angela Fitzgerald connects viewers with people whose passions, experiences and expertise celebrate the best of Wisconsin, introducing new stories from every corner of our state.
An animated story written by Quinn, will be featured in an all-new episode of Wisconsin Life, 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 23, on PBS Wisconsin. The episode will also be available to stream at pbswisconsin.org/WILife and on the free PBS video app on all streaming devices and Smart TVs.
“A Mother’s Lesson From Rib Mountain” is an animated rendition of Quinn’s desire to teach her four-year-old son about human existence in the universe while hiking at Rib Mountain. Her narrative weaves an intriguing thread through a variety of sciences including geology, biology, ecology, sociology and astrophysics.
This season sees Fitzgerald crossing the state to visit places including Willow River State Park in Hudson, Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha and more. The rest of the Wisconsin Life team is just as well-traveled. The program finds inspiring Wisconsinites from all parts of the state and all walks of life.
