Fourth of July celebrations will take place in Clintonville, Fremont, Hortonville, Iola, Manawa, New London, Waupaca and Weyauwega.
Following are the schedules for each community.
Waupaca
Waupaca’s Hometown Day Celebration will be held Monday, July 4, with a parade on Main Street and fireworks over Shadow Lake.
The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will travel North Main Street from North Division Street to Lake Street.
A race sponsored by the Assembly of God Church will run the parade route just prior to the parade at approximately 9:45 a.m.
The grand marshals for 2016 are Scott and Lorrie Neumann, owners of the Piggly Wiggly store in Waupaca.
Trinity Lutheran Church will collect canned food items during the parade for the Waupaca Area Food Pantry.
Parade watchers can bring non-perishable food and church members will walk the parade route with their float picking up donations.
Following the parade, the Knights of Columbus will serve chicken, hamburgers, hot dog and soda in upper South Park.
The popcorn wagon will be in lower South Park serving soda, nachos, popcorn and cotton candy before and during the fireworks.
Proceeds go to various charity organizations supported by the Knights of Columbus such as Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, community and church youth programs, family disaster relief and youth scholarships.
At 6:30 p.m., the Chain Skiers perform on Rainbow Lake with viewing available at the Wisconsin Veterans Home Marden Center. A junior show will take place at 5:45 p.m.
The fireworks show will start over Shadow Lake at 9:30 p.m. WDUX FM 92.7 will broadcast patriotic music during the show. Lakeside Parkway from High Street to the Recycling Center will be open to emergency vehicles only from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. with pedestrian viewing on the walking trail but not the roadway.
Parking for the fireworks will be available in the Waupaca Recycling Center. Freewill donations will go to a non-profit organization assisting with parking.
The annual celebration is coordinated by the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce with the volunteer and financial support from the community.
New London
Independence Day festivities will start at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 4, at Cottrill Field at Hatten Park in New London.
The Hatten Stadium Foundation will serve food, the New London rock and metal band Isolation will perform at 7 p.m. and a fireworks show will start at 9 p.m.
New London Park and Rec will host children’s activities.
Participants should bring lawn chairs or blankets because the stands fill up early.
A Friday, July 8, rain date has been set.
Clintonville
Food, music, activities and fireworks at dusk are slated to start at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 3, in W.A. Olen Park in Clintonville.
The event is sponsored by the Clintonville BABA.
A rain date is set for Tuesday, July 5.
Manawa
The Mid-Western Rodeo will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, June 30 through July 2, at the Rodeo Grounds in Manawa. Fireworks follow the Thursday night rodeo.
A matinee performance will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 2. Also on Saturday is the Rodeo Parade at 10 a.m. through downtown Manawa, and the Stampede 5k run/walk and 10k run at 7:30 a.m. starting and ending at Lindsay Park.

Fremont
Fremont’s July 4 celebration will begin on Sunday, July 3 with a Webfooters show at 6 p.m. on the Wolf River and the Fremont Area Chamber of Commerce sponsoring the fireworks show at dusk, off of East Main Street.
The rain date for the fireworks will be Monday, July 4.
On Monday, July 4, the Fremont Fire Department will sponsor the annual Kiddie Parade at 10 a.m.
Open to children of all ages, registration for the parade will be 9:30 a.m., across from Premier Bank.

Weyauwega
Weyauwega’s fireworks show will also take place on Sunday, July 3.
The fireworks will begin at dusk, at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds.
Music will begin at the fairgrounds at approximately 6:30 p.m. and continue until the fireworks begin.
People are encouraged to bring chairs, food and beverages.
Concessions will not be sold.
Iola
The annual Fireworks Celebration will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 3, at Olson Park in Iola. The event, sponsored by the Iola-Scandinavia Chamber of Commerce, includes ball games, concessions, a raffle and fireworks.
The evening will start at 5 p.m. with a youth baseball game, followed by the annual fire department “Battle of the Axe” softball game with Iola versus Scandinavia.
The fireworks begin at dusk.
Hortonville
Hortonville will celebrate Independence Day with activities at Miller Park from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, July 4.
The event includes antique cars and tractors, face painting, horseshoes, pie and ice cream social, carnival games and inflatables, music by Grayling Pingel, food. No fireworks.
