Local WIAA State Track And Field results

LA CROSSE-Several local athletes participated in WIAA State Track and Field championships in La Crosse on June 6-7 as there were multiple top five finishers, including a state title winner in the Division 3 Boys 3200 Meter Run.

Top five finishers at state

Division 1

Boys

1600 Meter Run

Ethan Olds finished in fifth place with a time of 4:08.15 for SPASH.

3200 Meter Run
Olds also finished fifth in a 3200-meter run with a time of 9:09.85.

Girls

800 Meter Run

Hortonville’s Hannah Huza finished fourth in the 800M with a time of 2:13.84.

3200 Meter Run
Hailey Falbo of Hortonville finished fourth with a mark of 10:50.35.

Division 2

Boys

1600 Meter Run
Waupaca’s Owen Lencki finished in third in the 1600M with a 4:17.07.

3200 Meter Run
Lencki finished in fourth with a time of 9:18.09.

Division 3

Boys

200 Meter Dash
Rosholt’s Alex Wierzba finished runner-up with a time of 21.96.

400 Meter Dash
Wierzba also finished second in the 400 with a mark of 48.65.

1600 Meter Run
Pacelli’s Luke Eiden finished in third with a time of 4:18.52.
Ben Beck of Iola-Scandinavia finished third with a time of 4:18.89.

3200 Meter Run
Beck won the state title in the 3200-meter run with a time of 9:28.02.

Luke Eiden finished second in the 3200 M with a time of 9:29.61.

4x100 Meter Relay
The Weyauwega-Fremont Relay team came in fourth place with a time of 43.33 in the 4x100.

High Jump
Broc Billington of Weyauwega-Fremont finished fifth in the high jump with a height of 6-04.00.

Triple Jump
Billington finished second in the triple jump with a measurement of 47-04.25.

Discus Throw
Korz Loken of Iola-Scandinavia finished third in the discus throw with a distance of 162-05.

Girls

4x400 Meter Relay

Rosholt placed fifth in the 4x400 with a time of 4:04.41.

Discus Throw
Manawa’s Olivia Tomko-Santos finished in fourth with a distance of 129-03.
