Man critically injured in stabbing

STEVENS POINT — On March 15 at approximately 5 a.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of Frontenac Avenue for a male individual that had been stabbed. The male victim was taken to a hospital by Stevens Point EMS and is in critical condition.
The initial investigation shows that all parties involved are known to each other, and this was a social gathering. The social gathering turned physical, and one individual was stabbed. The suspect is in custody. This is an isolated incident to known people, and the public is not in danger. The investigation is still ongoing.
