Posted

Terry J. Searvogel, 36, Waupaca, was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, operating a vehicle with a restricted controlled substance and a juvenile passenger, a second OWI, operating while revoked and felony bail jumping.

At 2:25 a.m. Feb. 6, Waupaca Police Officer Austin Erickson was running radar on Churchill Street near the Rose Garden Cafe when he observed a vehicle with a license plate that was not registered to it.

Erickson made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Searvogel.

Two more Waupaca officers arrived and they helped search the vehicle. They reported finding suspected methamphetamine and a pot pipe.

Offices conducted a field sobriety test, then transported Searvogel to ThedaCare Waupaca for a blood draw.

Searvogel was released on a $2,000 signature bond. He is scheduled to appear in court for a status conference on Nov. 25.

Police said there were three passengers in addition to Searvogel at the time of the traffic stop.

Officers report that one of them, Alexus Mills, 27, had her 4-year-old daughter with her. Mills was charged with misdemeanor child neglect and is scheduled for a jury trial on Dec. 20.
