WAUPACA – On the morning of Sept. 12, Waupaca County Sheriff deputies executed a search warrant at a home on County Trunk QQ not far from the intersection of Pryse Road.
Upon entering the home, they encountered three men and one bedridden woman. One man yelled, “Raid,” and ran into a bedroom. All three men were rounded up and put in handcuffs.
Near the garage, they searched a camper and found a man and woman living there with two children.
The deputies, along with members of the Central Wisconsin Drug Task Force started taking photos and collecting evidence. Drug paraphernalia was found everywhere: in the bedroom, basement, tool room and in the barn. They found prescription pill bottles under another person’s name, methamphetamine gear, two Clonazapam pills in a cellophane cigarette wrapper, and a rubber container of meth crystals.
A search of a bedroom revealed capsules of Gabapentin and more meth crystals and paraphernalia. A search of the camper turned up more meth, a pot pipe and a glass meth bong.
“The children’s living situation is less than ideal and the fact drug-related paraphernalia and illicit substances were located within a camper, which is a confined space, poses a great risk to the well-being of the children as they are being exposed to harmful substances,” wrote Detective Curtis Much in the criminal complaint.
Child Protective Services were involved and the two children were placed in a foster home temporarily until a possible family member could look after them. Aging and Disability services was notified of about the bedridden female in the house.
