Milbauer, Mary Ann

Mary Ann Milbauer, 79, of Marion, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024 in restful care at her daughter’s home in Plymouth.

Mary was born on September 7, 1945, and raised in Clintonville, WI, the daughter of the late Charles and Rita (Vanderlinden) Samz. Mary attended the Wisconsin College of Cosmetology in Green Bay and graduated in June,1964. She married her husband of 51 years, Thomas H. Milbauer on July 3, 1965 and was a devoted and loving wife until his passing in 2017. Mary was an active member of Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, and her faith played an important role in her life. She had a long and successful career as a beautician and was a co-owner of the Cinderella Beauty Salon in Marion, which brought her great joy, countless laughs and many close friendships throughout the years. Mary was rarely idle and was always busy with numerous projects. She was an avid gardener, both vegetable and flower, and loved to cook and host gatherings on her back patio or up north at the cabin on Little Spider Lake. She enjoyed years of crafting, cross-stitching and sewing, but refinishing antique furniture was her favorite hobby. Mary was hard-working, honest, full of integrity and her energy and smile always lit up a room. She adored her girls and grandchildren and was a dear friend to many. She was loved and will be truly missed.

Mary will be deeply missed by her daughters Debra Tobin (Jeffrey) and Christine Vetter (Jerry), her grandchildren Taylor Ludvik, Brady Ludvik, Sophie Tobin and Sam Tobin, and her younger brother Michael Samz (Patricia).

She is preceded in death by her two older brothers Frederick Samz and James Samz.

In lieu of flowers, please give a donation in honor of Mary to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, MAMA’s Food Pantry, Marion Lions Club or Caroline Lions Club.

A memorial mass will be held 11 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Marion, with Fr. Matthew Settle officiating. Inurnment will take place following the service at the parish cemetery.

Visitation will take place on Saturday at the church from 9 AM until the time of service.
