Mother in Amber Alert case sentenced to 2 years

Posted

STEVENS POINT — Chelsie Lehmann, 32, was sentenced to two years in prison and an additional three and half years of extended supervision.
Lehmann’s child was the subject of a September Amber Alert, which ultimately resulted in the child being found safe with Jordan Coyle after missing for two days.
Coyle had prior sexual assault charges and was a registered sex offender; however Lehmann is alleged to have encouraged Coyle to violate his parole by living with Lehmann and her minor children. She is also alleged to have harbored Coyle, a felon.
Lehmann pleaded no contest to neglecting a child and was found guilty, and as a result the other two charges of encouraging a parole violation and harboring a felon were dismissed.
At her April 14 sentencing, Lehmann received two years of initial confinement followed by three and a half years of extended supervision. She has 212 served days of credit.
Conditions of her extended supervision include completing a cognitive behavioral assessment and mental health assessment and following through with treatment, take medications as prescribed, maintain full-time employment or schooling, and more.
Coyle is set to have his final pre-trial hearing on July 17, where he will face charges of first degree sexual assault with a modifier of persistent repeater and interference with child custody in relation to the Amber Alert.
