New fire truck in New London

The New London Fire Department has a new fire engine.

Built by Marion Body Works, the new pumper arrived Monday, Aug. 3.

The new truck will replace 30-year-old Engine 593.

The deck gun and other equipment from Engine 593 will be transferred, and the new truck is now in service.

Fire Chief Bart Roloff said the department began training on the new fire truck last week.
