Niemuth, Laverne Mae

On Tuesday, June 27, 2023,Laverne Mae Niemuth, went to be with her Lord and Savior.

As written in John 14:3, “The Lord said in my Father’s house are many rooms and I have gone to prepare a place for you. When I return I will take you with me.”

Laverne was born on December 31, 1931, the daughter of the late Orien and Julia (Dean) Dietz in the town of Medina. On June 2, 1951, she married Eugene Niemuth in Medina. Together they farmed for many years in Readfield. Laverne was a God fearing woman, always offering help to anyone, She had been active in the 4-H and fairs, Zion Lutheran Church choir and Ladies Aid, as well as offering home care to many in need of additional help. Baking was her real love as she loved to bake for her entire family, friends and many neighbors. She kept cookies on hand for all of the grandchildren.

Laverne is survived by her children, Connie(Steven) Wilz, New London; Corinne (David) Krause, Hortonville; Mark(Kari)Niemuth, New London and Lisa Ann (Joel) Rank, Fox Crossing; four grandchildren, Steven (Michelle) Wilz II, Thomas (Carrie) Krause, Ryan (Sarah) Niemuth and Amy Niemuth; six great-grandchildren, Austyn Wilz, Ethan, Evan, Aydan, Owen and Olivia Krause; two sisters, Joyce Stangfield and Deloris Jacquot; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Eric Wilz and Julia Woehler; a great-grandson, Jonathan Procknow; four brothers-in-law, Gilbert Stagfield, Earl Jacquot, Robert(Dorothy)Niemuth, Wilbur(Lydia)Niemuth and a sister-in-law, Shirley(Gerald)Schroenrock.

Per Lavern’s wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.

The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.
